9 Months Old

Elliot is 9 months old today.

He's a busy boy and did not want to stay put for the camera. I had to chase him around to take pictures.

Ethan's 4th Birthday Party

Audrey was invited to Ethan's birthday party. It was a fun spaceship themed birthday party at the park.

It wasn't the warmest day, but Audrey wanted to go to the kiddie pool at Burgess Park. Elliot's naps were not cooperating all day and he was already awake when he should still be napping, so the kids and I went to Burgess pool. We were hoping to finally meet up with Ruby, Ella, and Megan at the pool, but that didn't happen. Audrey kept asking me where Ruby was. I told her next time...

I didn't take Elliot in the pool since it wasn't quite swimming weather. We just hung out poolside on the grassy area. He was a happy baby despite the fact that he didn't even get a full hour of sleep all day.

Audrey had a lot of fun even though she was in the water by herself.

On our way back home, she told me that she wants to come back tomorrow and play for a very long time with Ruby.

Happy Birthday to Me!

It's my birthday! We actually celebrated a day early because of In's schedule. In came home extra early with a delicious cream cheese frosting red velvet cake. Audrey helped me blow the candles. (Elliot was already sleeping by then.)

Ruby's 4th Birthday Party

Audrey was invited to Ruby's 4th birthday party. It was a barbie/super hero/pj themed movie party. Audrey was super excited about this party because she was going to see a "movie". She's never really had TV time for more than 30 minutes at a time let alone an entire movie, so it was a pretty big deal. Plus it was on a bigger screen than a TV. She was in heaven watching The Little Mermaid 2 while eating popcorn in Ruby's garage.

Ava and Audrey instantly became best friends once they realized that their names start with the same letter. 

Super Audrey had a lot of fun at the party for sure.

It was a hot day.

Audrey @ Swim Class

Audrey does not like getting her face wet. We have the same problem even when I wash her hair. She doesn't like getting her hair washed because it gets her face wet. So she absolutely hates putting her head in the water during swim class.

Ever since Audrey was about 2 or so, I've been taking her to mommy & me swim classes every summer "hoping" she will enjoy the water more. The swim classes never lasted more than 2-3 months because she was never able to get over the hump of putting her head in the water. She would be fine in the pool up to the "let's put your head in the water" part. Audrey would scream/cry and run away, I'd go chasing after her.

So this summer, we try again. This summer is different because she's older which means no more mommy & me classes. She has to go in on her own. Again, she starts out fine, but once the instructor puts her head under water, she freaks out and starts to cry. In and I have been telling her that she has to try and try and try and maybe she will get to liking it. Yeah, right.

Audrey had a huge breakthrough today. She didn't cry! She wasn't happy going in, she was still hesitant, but she didn't cry and she put her head in the water. She is so proud of herself, I am so proud of her too! She tells me that she tried and tried and now she kinda likes swimming. She was all smiles during the entire car ride home.

Chow Time

Elliot is not crazy about solids. I can never get him to finish the entire jar of baby food. It gets so messy. Food flies all over the place. He won't sit still. He starts to blow raspberries (with food in his mouth = more mess).... and we are done with chow time.

Practicing His New Skill

All Elliot wants to do these days is stand up.

And he's cutting his first tooth (two of them at once!) so we are not getting much sleep these days.

Busy Sunday

We had a very busy day. First off, Elliot made it even better by waking up at 5:00 in the morning. I was already tired by breakfast time. 

I took Audrey to her swim class.

Then it was Caleb's birthday party at Shoup Park. It was a great party with yummy food and fun activities for the kids. It was a dino themed party, and the kids got to do dino fossil excavating. 

Piñata and cupcakes to top off the fun occasion. Happy birthday Caleb!

We headed to Sebastian's birthday party next. As soon as we got there, Audrey went straight for the trampoline and was jumping nonstop. It was a great party, and I think Audrey was exhausted by the end of it. 

When we got home, all In and I wanted to do was take a nap, but that wasn't gonna happen with two kids tearing down the house. It was definitely a fun and busy day.
