Art Studio
I took Elliot to an open art studio for kids. I've been meaning to check it out for a while now and today was the day.
We do a lot of arts and crafts at home since it's Audrey's favorite thing to do. Elliot gets a fair amount of artsy activities sitting next to Audrey, but mostly things at Audrey's level. But this was his own time at his level where no older sister butts in. And he really enjoyed it a lot, I had to drag him out of the place.

Sunday
The kids had their usual swim class in the morning.
We spent all afternoon playing at our favorite park.
We also discovered the best ice cream place in town: Tin Pot Creamery. (Audrey's Cookie Monster scoop came with a set of eyes!)

Park Playdate

Park Day
With In buried in work, I had to entertain the kids on my own today. I had grand plans to take them to the zoo, but after a couple of major meltdowns early in the morning, I gave up on Oakland.
Instead, we went to our favorite park in the morning.
After Elliot's mid-day nap, we went out for ice cream.
Then, we went to Shoreline Park and tried the pedal boat.
The park had a cool boat themed play structure which the kids absolutely loved. When it was time to head back home, they didn't want to leave but I promised them we'll be back very soon with Daddy.
