Low Key New Years Eve

With every single family member sick, we took it easy today.

Christmas Presents

Since Christmas morning was up in Tahoe, only Santa's gifts arrived on Christmas morning for these two on Christmas morning.

Although they enjoyed skiing in Tahoe, they couldn't wait to get to open Christmas presents. Once we got home from our trip, kids went straight for the Christmas gifts under the tree.

We got an extended Christmas morning this year.

These two are already busy with their new goodies.

Tahoe Ski

We spent Christmas weekend skiing in Tahoe. It was a bit cold, but snow was amazing.

Audrey was lucky enough to have her instructor from last year again this time.

Elliot was very happy to ski.

In and I were actually able to ski/snowboard together while kids were taking lessons in the morning. So much fun.

My little dream come true on our last day of skiing: all four of us on the chair lift. finally. together. 

We had a lot of fun at Tahoe. Kids actually enjoyed skiing this time, for the first time..... no whining about how much their feet hurt, or how cold/hot it is. They wanted to go back up again and again. We definitely hope to come back again this winter.

Reno Children's Museum

We got to Tahoe a day early to avoid the snow storm, and I thought we can get an extra day of skiing. But the wind was well over 50mph at the slopes, so we decided not to ski and checked out the Children's Museum in Reno. It was surprisingly a really fun place with so much to do. It felt like a kid's version of the Exploratorium in SF.

Class Winter Party

Ice Skating

Audrey and her friends headed straight to the ice skating rink after school.

Of course, Elliot tagged along.

Preschool Winter Sing

Elliot's class had its holiday winter sing with their music teacher Ms. B.

    

School Gardening Class

Audrey had a gardening class today at school and I went with Elliot to help out. They planted broccoli and did a lot of weeding.

Elliot got to join the big kids. 

'Tis the Season

We had a wonderful evening at the S family's. 

    

Audrey's Piano Recital

Audrey had her winter piano recital. She did so well, I am very proud of her.

Audrey's friend performed as well.
