Audrey is taking soccer with Ruby.

It rained on and off all day so I wasn't sure the class was going to happen, but the girls lucked out, no rain during class.

Audrey is star of the week at preschool.

A major part of the day is spent doing laps around the kitchen/dining area.

SF Chamber Orchestra Family Concert Series

We took Audrey to see SF Chamber Orchestra's Family Concert Series - Very First Concert. It was a mini concert (30 min) for little kids with string instruments (violin, viola, cello, and double base).  The conductor explained some simple music concepts to familiar songs in a very relaxing and kid friendly environment . Listening to Twinkle Twinkle and Old McDonald performed by professional musicians was splendid. It simply sounded amazing. 

Audrey got to meet some of the musicians and instruments up close after the concert. She really wants to learn how to play the violin.

Elliot's Gym Class

Elliot had his vey first gym class today. It's a morning class and he gets 100% of my attention while Audrey's in preschool. It was 45 minutes of free play and he really enjoyed exploring the new place.

Lily's 5th Birthday Party

Audrey's friend from preschool celebrated her 5th birthday at Safari Run. It was a huge indoor play area and Audrey absolutely had a blast. She played with Geneva (also a friend from preschool) pretty much the entire time. They were inseparable.

Alexis' 5th Birthday Party

Audrey's friend Alexis had her 5th birthday party at Chuck E Cheese. Yes, Chuck E Cheese. I vaguely remember it from when I was a small kid, but I am surprised that it is still in business. I wasn't too crazy about taking Audrey to Chuck E Cheese (it feels like a little kid's version of a casino to me), but we did go since we didn't want to miss Alexis' party, and actually had a pretty good time. 

She got to play arcade games for the very first time. 

Audrey was excited to see Chuck E. 

There was also a fun magic show.

Elliot's First Haircut

Elliot got his first haircut today, finally getting rid of the mullet. He absolutely hated getting his hair chopped off. He cried and screamed the entire time. Post haircut, he looks so different....he doesn't look like a baby anymore.

Fairyland

I took the kids to Fairyland in Oakland with some other moms and their kids. It was a cute little theme park just right for kids Audrey's age. There were 4 moms and 7 kids (ages ranging from 14 months to 6.5 years old). It was hard trying to keep track of all the kids, even with 4 adults. It was like the kids were high on sugar the entire time. They were simply too excited.

A lot of time was spent on Jack and Jill's hill, sliding down a small hill on a piece of cardboard. 

Audrey had so much fun with her friends at Fairyland, she's put it up there on the top of her list of favorite places to visit again, right next to Disneyland.
