With good old friend Shayne. It was field trip day at mini-madness camp for Audrey. They all took the train together to RWC and went to see the new Planes movie at the movie theater. How exciting is that! (The kids all went in their camp t-shirts so they can be recognized.) 

Later in the afternoon, I took the kids to the pool.

Summer Camp

Audrey finally started her 2 week-long summer camp today. She has been looking forward to it for a while now, and today was the big day.

I know there's at least a hand full of kids from her kindergarten class, so I'm sure she had a blast.

While Audrey was at camp, Elliot went to his gym class with me.

And he peacefully took his nap after lunch.

After I picked up Audrey from camp in the afternoon, we hung out at the park for a bit. Very curious what these two were talking about...

Summer is going by pretty quickly.

Birthday Dinner #2

In treated us to a nice family dinner to celebrate my birthday (again).

Highlight of the dinner - cotton candy dessert. Audrey was asking for it even before we got to the restaurant.

SF Zoo

We've been to the Oakland Zoo many many times, but it was actually our very first time to SF Zoo.

Underwear

Elliot wore his underwear for the first time today. He was so excited to wear it, even went potty once without any accidents. But after a couple of hours, he told me we wanted to go back to diapers. I asked him why, and he answered "I changed my mind". I didn't want to push it, so I let him go back to diapers.....for now.

Menlo Park Street Fair

We normally try to avoid street fairs/carnivals as much as we can. But we wanted to meet up with Max and his family, so we braved the crowd (and heat) and checked out the local street fair.

They haven't seen each other for over a month but the two kids immediately hit it on.

Can't skip ice-cream.

There was a kids zone with climbing wall, slides, obstacle course, craft stations...

Audrey tried a new thing at the fair today.

Play

In the morning, we met up with Anastasia at Play.

In the afternoon, Audrey's friend Simran joined us at Play House.

I love the weather these days, but it's nice to play indoors for a change.

Little Artists

I covered our entire countertop with paper and we spent a bulk of our afternoon stamping, drawing, coloring....

Audrey stamped out a lot of insects.

Elliot had a more abstract approach.
