Preschool Holiday Sing-A-Long

Audrey's class invited the parents to a holiday sing-a-long. It was a cute 15 minutes singing holiday songs with the kids. I liked how it wasn't a huge production show and very low key. Audrey's been talking for days about how all the parents get to come to school and sing with them. It was even a bigger deal for her this time because In made it to the sing-a-long too.

Audrey really likes to draw, mostly people. Along with people, she's recently been drawing a lot of houses, tree houses, snowmen, Christmas trees, and pirates. This morning, she drew a self portrait.

New Boots

Audrey's been asking me for a pair of boots for a while now. Some of her friends wear boots and so she wants to wear them too. I told her maybe for Christmas. She then told me desperately "I really really want them before Christmas!". Realizing that I'm not going to give in, Audrey ended up calling grandma (in Korea!) and asking her to buy her a pair. So my mom happily insisted that I go get her a pair this weekend....so here is my girl with her brand new pair of pink suede boots. She knows who to call when she wants something!

Madeleine's 5th Birthday Party

Audrey's friend Madeleine had her 5th birthday party at Menlo Park's gymnasium. It was a drop off birthday party. It was our first "drop off" birthday party so hurray for me! I was able to drop her off (hang out with Elliot at home) and come back 90 minutes later.

I didn't see her play in the gym area, but when I went to pick her up, she was having snacks with all her other friends and she was all rosy from jumping around.

It poured all day and it was the perfect event to burn off energy.

Christmas Mode

December 1st. Let the holiday festivities begin!

It began very early in the morning with breakfast with Santa. Audrey told Santa that she wanted Lego for Christmas. 

Audrey's playgroup had its holiday party. We were a bit late, but Audrey jumped right in to join in on the activities. 

We decorated our Christmas tree today. Audrey put up all the ornaments. It's a bit clustered in certain areas, but it's okay because I know that she will spend the rest of the month shuffling/rearranging the ornaments around the tree. I thought about finally upgrading to a bigger tree (we have a 3 ft tiny one), but I've decided to wait until next year when Elliot is a little older. 

After dinner, In took Audrey to see the Caltrain's holiday train. I had to stay home with Elliot because it was way passed Elliot's bedtime. I know she enjoyed it because she couldn't stop talking about it!

With all the excitement, it looks like December is going to go by really quickly!
