Mini Concert

Audrey's BFF Anastasia and her family came over for dinner. The adults had a huge feast on steamed crab while the kids had fish sticks (sorry!). After dinner, the two girls did a mini concert, absolutely adorable.

Happy Hollow

We avoided the shops for Black Friday and headed over to Happy Hollow.

Audrey has been to Happy Hollow a gazillion times and Elliot's been to the park as a baby, but it was his first time to actually ride some of the rides at the park. He had a lot of fun.

Of course, Audrey had fun, she went on the roller coaster three times. But I think she's getting a little too old for this place.

Happy Thanksgiving

Audrey was very excited to see Santa.

But it was torture for Elliot.

He calmed down a little bit after he got off Santa's lap and was presented with a small stuffed snowman doll.

Yoga Class

Elliot and I do a Mommy/Me Yoga class every Wednesday morning. Today, since there's no school for the Thanksgiving weekend, the big kids were invited for a special Thanksgiving family yoga session. Audrey has been looking forward to trying out yoga and she got all excited about going.

During class, since it was a Thanksgiving class, there was one segment where everyone sat in a big circle and everyone took turns sharing what we are thankful for. Almost everyone said something in the lines of family, health, Thanksgiving food, etc. Audrey said "I am thankful for the pilgrims and the native Americans". I couldn't stop laughing. At least I know she's paying attention and learning something at school.

Her friend Connor (and brother Hudson) was there as well so it was double fun for her.

We met up with Maddy (and Will) for a quick snack afterwards.

It's going to be a fun Thanksgiving weekend indeed!

Swim Class

It's mid-November, and we are still swimming outdoors. Audrey is kinda "stuck" at swim class these days. I'm hoping she will get over her little hump and master her free style technique. It took her months to do side-breath now that I think about it. On the other hand, Elliot is 100% comfortable in the water. He submerges in water, does back floats, and jumps into the water with such ease. I am so glad that I got Elliot in the water sooner than later.

Caltrain

Oakland Zoo

There's no school (Veteran's Day), so I took the kids to Oakland Zoo. The Pfaff boys joined us. Poor Elliot, already 2, and has never been to the zoo! So it was a huge deal for him.

The zoo part was fun, but I think the kids were more interested in the rides just outside the zoo. We should have just went to Happy Hollow.

There's nothing in the backpack. She just brings home art work every  now and then, and that's it. But the school encourages them to have a backpack. 

Evan's 5th Birthday Party

Star Wars themed. Audrey went in her Star Wars cape t-shirt. She was totally into the Jedi training thingy. On the car ride home, she told me it was like what she saw at Disneyland except there was no Darth Vader to practice with.
