Lego Fest

We went to Lego Fest. There were tons and tons of Lego everywhere. It was a lot of fun for both kids and adults. 

There were lots of impressive Lego sculptures.

Audrey had a lot of fun vacuuming the Lego. (Genius idea!)

Elliot spent a long time at the ramps where kids can race their self made Lego cars.  

Audrey did not miss out on it, either. She raced her own cars with In.

Audrey put up her name and also made a bear at the Art Gallery section. I was quite impressed with her bear.

The highlight of the event has to be the huge (I mean, really HUGE) pile of Lego bricks. We dug through a million bricks and immediately started to just build stuff with them.

Who wouldn't want to be covered in Lego from head to toe, right?

22 Months Old

Elliot is 22 months old today.

I think he's a bit more tired these days because I have to almost always wake him up from his nap to go pick up Audrey from school. Poor second kid....

Anastasia's 5th Birthday Party

One of Audrey's best friends had her 5th birthday party. Her brother didn't have a birthday party back in spring when he turned 2 (poor second kids...), so her mom made it kind of a joint birthday party for the two kids. Now, Audrey thinks a joint birthday party is the coolest thing in the world and wants a joint birthday party with Elliot when he turns 2. I told her that she's already had her birthday party for this year. Nice try, Audrey.

First Day of Kindergarten

Audrey's first day of kindergarten went very smoothly. She has a lot of familiar faces in her class and she is very excited about starting kindergarten.

First Movie Theater Experience

I took the kids to see the Disney animation "Planes" with some friends. It was my kids' first long movie (even Audrey's never seen an entire movie from start to finish in one sitting) and also very fist movie theater experience. It was a kid-freindly viewing so the lights were on, the volume was lowered, and also no previews so the kids can make it through. 

I wasn't sure what to expect (especially from Elliot), but they both had a good time. Of course Elliot ended up running around and going up/down the stairs after about 30 min. Audrey got a little restless at the end but she saw the entire movie. 

Another Ribbon

Audrey is moving up from level 3 to free style! I am super proud of her.

Tug of War

We had a great BBQ picnic in the park with some friends and the kids had a tug of war match going with one of the dads.

Monterey Bay Aquarium

We went to Monterey Bay Aquarium with friends. It will be our last big day trip playdate before school starts next week for most of us. 

Miracle: Both kids passed out in the car on the way home. This is a first for me!
