10 Months Old

 Elliot is 10 months old today.

Open House @ Playschool

Audrey starts her pre-K class next week and her preschool had its open house this morning. She got to check out her new classroom, meet her new teachers and also meet and play with some of her new (and old) friends. She hasn't been to Playschool all summer but she felt right at home especially when she got to the outside play area. She had a lot of fun riding the scooters and trikes.

Santa Cruz Beach

We went to Santa Cruz to enjoy the beach. We like Santa Cruz it a little more than beautiful Half Moon Bay only because the water is a little bit warmer and compared to Half Moon Bay getting your feet wet is somewhat bearable in Santa Cruz. 

Unfortunately, it was not the warmest day. Audrey still wanted to put on her swimsuit and at least get her feet wet.

Bay Area Discovery Museum

We went to Sausalito to check out the Bay Area Discovery Museum. It had an amazing view of the Golden Gate Bridge.

Audrey did some painting in the art room.

Elliot got to crawl around in the tot's area.

The best part of the museum was its wonderful outdoor area with tons of fun stuff for the kids.

Gilroy Gardens

We went to Gilroy Gardens for the day. I was pleasantly surprised by the place. It was clean, it had a lot of trees, and it wasn't all that crowded either. The rides were perfect for Audrey's age, too. She did not want to leave the place. Too bad it's not that close by.

Andy Z

We went to see Andy Z perform at the library. It's probably Audrey's favorite music performer. She knows all his songs, we listen to his CD in the car all the time.

Andy Z always wears tie-dye t-shirts. I think he rotates among 5-6 tie-dye t-shirts for his shows. (I should know this, I've taken Audrey to too many of his shows.) In even bought her a tie-dye t-shirt about a year ago for those days when she goes to see Andy Z's show. Today, she was so excited when Andy Z showed up in the same t-shirt!

Audrey was invited to Livia's for a playdate. Livia has a big play structure in a huge backyard and Audrey absolutely loved it. We were there all afternoon. She pretty much passed out in 3 seconds at bedtime.
