Audrey's friend Max is getting a club house in his backyard and is supposed to be finished this weekend so we had to go check it out.
But first, we stopped by Matthew's and Audrey got to try out his Wii game.
Then we all walked over Max's to check out the club house. It wasn't completely done yet but the kids went right inside. It looks awesome.
We had plans to walk over to the Sunset Festival together but that never materialized and we ended up getting some paella and hanging out in Max's backyard....second weekend in a row.
Our neighbor has three kids right around Audrey and Elliot's age, so the five of them get along really well. And they love hanging out riding their bikes and playing in each other's garage. Today was no exception. Audrey pulled out her barbie play dough kit (which was one of her birthday presents from the party).
In the afternoon, we had a wonderful barbecue picnic at a local park with some great friends. It's amazing how much these kids have grown. They've known each other since they were about a year old! (I'm bummed we couldn't get a group photo of the 6 kids + siblings.)
It's Memorial Day weekend and with this gorgeous weather, it really feels like it's summer now.
The kids had swim class in the morning.
After a quick snack, Audrey went to a friend's birthday party. I think the girls were in princess heaven during the entire duration of the party.

Too bad it didn't stay on that long because we headed straight for the pool to hang out with our neighbors.
Elliot refused to nap in the afternoon which made him a ticking time bomb but we still went over to Max's house for a barbecue dinner with friends. There was more water play to go with all the hotdogs and Schawb Meat steak.
Summer is definitely here and we are enjoying the long weekend.
Happy Hollow is not as exciting for Audrey as it used to be, so we stepped it up a notch and took the kids to CA's Great America Theme Park.
I had no idea that Great America had a Snoopy theme tied to it. Wasn't it Nickelodeon?
Although it was quite crowded, the kid-friendly rides were surprisingly empty. They got to enjoy most of the rides that they wanted to try out. Audrey really likes roller coasters.
They enjoyed a shaved ice after lunch and showed off their colored tongues.
BTW, I was very impressed at the new 49ers stadium right next to the parking lot. It looks pretty much done!
The afternoon was non-stop playing outside with our neighbors. Gotta love the summer!
Audrey invited all her classmates from kindergarten (along with a couple of other close friends) to her 6th birthday party at the Menlo Park Gymnastics Center. She's been telling me for months that she wants a Doc McStuffins themed party, so that's what she got.
After spending hours online looking at cakes, I made her the cake.
Audrey and her friends had a lot of fun at the gym. What a great way to tire them out!
Elliot was a little intimidated by all the big kids in the beginning, but soon got comfortable and had fun as well.

The kids wacked a bandaid shaped piñata just outside the building. (I will never understand why kids like the piñata so much.)
We got home with lots and lots of gifts to open.
She even got a t-shirt from the Menlo gym.
I can tell Audrey had a great time. She also told me that she liked everything about the party, so a job well done for me.
