Playdate w/ Niklas

Audrey's current BFF in kindergarten is Niklas. He is officially the first kinder friend to come over for a playdate. 

BTW, this is Elliot with Hudson this morning during a mommy/me yoga class. 

Monterey Bay Aquarium

We made a day trip down to Monterey to check out the Aquarium.

Encinal Family Picnic

Audrey's school had a family picnic event. I packed a picnic dinner and the whole family walked/biked to school to check it out. I didn't know what to expect, but we all had a very fun time. 

Audrey started it off with body painting from the girl scouts booth.

Elliot headed straight to the play structures. 

Audrey had crazy fun, running around non-stop for two hours. I didn't even know she can physically play so hard for such a long time.

I am so glad that Audrey is absolutely loving school these days. Let's hope this lasts 17+ years. 

The Three Musketeers

While the older kids are at school together, the younger kids play at the park together. 

Backpack

Almost every morning and every afternoon when Elliot leaves the house with me to either drop off or pick up Audrey to/from school, he now is in the habit of wearing his little backpack (hand-me-down that has Audrey's name on it) because Audrey wears one for school. It really doesn't help me in any way because he has to take it off pretty much immediately we are out the door to get in the car or stroller. 

Dance Class

I enrolled Elliot in a mommy/me dance class. (It's the same class Audrey took when she was his age.) When I told Elliot it's time to put shoes on since we are going to dance class, he immediately went upstairs to Audrey's room and came back with a tutu. He insisted on wearing it, so I let him.

Swim Class

Sunday mornings we take both kids to swim class. Audrey has made so much progress since her "I don't like swimming" days and Elliot absolutely loves the water.

Since Audrey is at school for much longer now, I get to spend a lot more one on one time with Elliot. We sometimes go for morning coffee (he gets water) after we drop off Audrey at school. 

I am trying to do more playdates for him with kids of his age group (not Audrey and her friends).

To/From School

We usually walk to and from school. This week, we've been trying walk/ride share with Simran who lives on the same street. 

The walk home is usually very tiring for the girls and the double stroller becomes a very heavy duty one that carries three kids. I get quite a workout pushing the stroller, too.

Happy Birthday In!

In is so busy these days at work, we really didn't have time to celebrate his birthday last Tuesday. So we finally blew candles over the weekend and had a nice dinner, too.

The restaurant gave cotton candy for dessert and it was Audrey's very first time tasting the sugary treat. Of course she liked it (but to my surprise, Elliot didn't dig it).
