Christmas Presents (2)

Although we only got her one thing for Christmas (and took it to Tahoe), there were more presents waiting for Audrey back home. Uncle J and Aunt E got her a bunch of baby doll stuff. She got to open them a couple days after Christmas, but I don't think she minded at all. The funny thing is, she was way more interested in the cute wrapping paper than the actual presents at first.

Honestly, what does the kid not have? We bought her just one thing (semi-working kid's camera) for Christmas and took it to Tahoe.

Trip to Tahoe

We spent Christmas weekend at Tahoe. It was Audrey's first long car trip. Plus, it was her first time seeing snow. She acknowledged that it was snow, but she didn't quite want to touch it at first. Later on, she got the hang of it, stuck her hands (with gloves) in the piles of snow and did not want to go back into the lodge. The harder thing was getting her to dress up for the cold weather - she wouldn't wear the hat, if not the hat, it would be the gloves, if not the gloves, she would refuse to zip up, or not like her snow boots.....it was a constant battle to have everything on her. But overall she did great. She did some sledding, she absolutely loved the gondola ride up the mountain, and she adored North Star Tahoe's mascot (the green monster looking...) that walked around the village. We stayed at one of the lodges at Northstar at Tahoe so we stayed at the resort during our entire trip and just walked everywhere which was great - when Audrey got tired and fussy, we just walked back to the lodge. We all had a wonderful time. Especially me - I got a whole day's worth of snowboarding!! (Thank you In, for hanging out with her all day!)
