Cultural Arts Day - India

Audrey's school had its cultural arts day. India was this year's theme so Audrey pulled out her sari for school this morning. Her friend Simran was also in her beautiful sari.

Naps

Poor Elliot, I almost always have to wake him up from his nap to go pick up Audrey from school. This was him today when I went to wake him up from his precious nap time.

 Audrey came home from school with a George Washington hat.

Disney on Ice

I took Audrey and Elliot to see Disney on Ice - Rockin' Ever After. (It was a very last minute thing. I got the tickets in the morning for the afternoon show.) Audrey saw another Disney on Ice show when she was three and it was Elliot's first time. I think Audrey enjoyed it more this time since she knows more about the stories and the characters. Elliot was happy to see Mickey and Minnie.

Skiing in Tahoe

We went to Tahoe for ski week with Teresa/Eric and their three kids. It was Audrey's first try at skiing and it was a success. She can ski!

Audrey and her friend Matthew took a day of group lessons and a couple days of private lessons. I think private lessons is the way to go with young kids. She was on the magic carpet on the first day, and by day two, she went up on the lifts with the instructor and came down the mile long run.

The only thing that was disappointing was the poor snow condition, or should I say the non-existent snow. We went to a smaller ski resort so it was even worse, but the kids didn't seem to mind and at their skill level, it probably doesn't really matter. The upside to it was that the low key ski resort was pretty much empty.

Elliot is too young to ski, but he was a good trooper and tagged along to watch Audrey ski and he played in the snow.

The kids had a really fun time in the backyard of the cabin we were renting. Although there wasn't that much snow, we made the best of it for sure. We absolutely had a blast.

It actually snowed a little bit on the morning we were leaving Tahoe. It was a nice little treat for the kids to experience snow falling from the sky.

I really didn't know what to expect with this trip, but everything worked out and we all had a great time. The poor snow conditions made it a little sad, but it worked out and we were able to avoid crazy crowds and picking a smaller kid friendly ski resort made it so much easier for the adults to handle the kids. We will be back!

Valentine's Day Party @ Kindergarten

Audrey had her Valentine's Day party at school.

They all ate yummy snacks with their friends. 

 She did a craft project and also decorated some cookies.

She gave out and (also received) Valentine's cards from her classmates. She was excited to receive a Frozen pencil from a friend. 

I got the sweetest card from her along with a photo frame.

Elliot loves going to Audrey's school. Every time he goes to Audrey's school, it's at class parties where he gets to eat treats and drink juice. He must think school is the best place on earth.

New Skirt

I made Audrey a skirt with fabric patterns of her choice.

100th Day of School

Audrey celebrated 100th day of school at kindergarten. 

She is also "Star of the Week", so it's a super special week for her.
