Kids really enjoyed the ferry ride to and from the island. But the Alcatraz jail cell tour itself was a little too much for my scaredy cats. We ended up spending more time outside and enjoying the beautiful weather and scenery.
The kids also earned their junior ranger badges.
We had an early dinner at Chinatown, and came upon this fun mural in one of the narrow alleys.
