With the holiday break almost over, we wanted to do something fun so ventured down to Monterey with a friend to visit the Aquarium.

Happy New Year
Some of our Korean friends got together to kick off the New Year. We had ddukguk (rice cake soup) for lunch and the kids did saebae (Korean version of the Chinese red envelope tradition) to the grown ups. Some of the kids wore their traditional Korean hanbok outfit. It was pretty cute.

Enjoying the Winter Break
We hung out with Anastasia and Leo in the morning and in the afternoon as well. First we met super early for ice skating at the Winter Lodge.
The kids enjoying their hot coco.
Elliot running around the picnic area.
After skating, we parted for the boys' naps. Then we met up again to see the Pop Ups perform in Los Altos. This is by far Audrey and Elliot's favorite performer these days. We listen to their music all day everyday.
Munching on pretty cupcakes and waiting for the show to begin.
The performance was a hit, especially with Audrey.
She even took a photo with one of the members.

We also ate out for dinner together. It was like one long playdate (excluding the nap part).
