I was willing to throw him a big party, but he didn't want one, so we celebrated at home and made it special for him. I told him he could chose what he wanted to eat for his birthday and he said "Cake for breakfast, mac n cheese for lunch, and Mama Coco (local Mexican restaurant) for dinner". He got his wish.
I made him a special rainbow cake for the big day.
He got a bunch of presents from every family member he knows, and was one happy kid all day. Happy 4th birthday Elliot!
Audrey had her school Halloween parade and party. It was well over 80 degrees and the kids were all roasting in their costumes, but they were all smiles.
Elliot's birthday is tomorrow (Saturday), so he celebrated a day early at school. I suggested he wear his "4" t-shirt, but he refused to wear it telling me he's not 4 until tomorrow. Therefore, he wants to wear his "3" t-shirt. Great. He can wear it one more day. I read the class one of Elliot's favorite books (The Book with No Pictures), they sang him happy birthday, and he passed out a little toy for his friends. He is looking forward to tomorrow.
This year, Elliot is very particular about what he wants to be for Halloween - a red dragon. So I found a red three-headed dragon costume online. It meets his criteria, he loves it. His preschool had a Halloween parade so he finally got to debut his costume this morning.
Elliot's preschool had a fun scarecrow making party. Between two kids, it's our fourth year at the preschool, but our very first time finally making it to the famous scarecrow party.
Elliot had fun seeing many of his friends in the evening and Audrey also liked being at her old school and seeing some of her preschool teachers.
